Meghan Lacey
Meg has spent her legal career honing her talents as a trial attorney and skilled negotiator. After graduating with honors from Columbia Law School in 2013, She began her criminal defense career at the Legal Aid Society (LAS) in Manhattan where she represented adults and juveniles charged as adults. At LAS she developed a reputation as a fierce advocate and formidable opponent in the courtroom.
After defending the accused for six years in New York City, Meg moved to Seattle where she continued her work as a criminal defense attorney representing clients in King County. Her work as a public defender exposed her to hundreds of vulnerable clients facing a variety of charges and innumerable obstacles in life. She prides herself on her approach to client relationships, valuing honesty and compassion. An unabashed nerd, Meg also prides herself on her dedication to mastery of the law applicable to each case she encounters. She has a unique background as an elementary school teacher and middle and high school tutor, which enhances her communication skills with young clients. She specializes in serious felony offenses but has represented clients charged with all level of crime.
